If your study abroad or work/migration destination is the UK, then you must take the UKVI Academic and General Training test, as candidates cannot use their IELTS Academic and General Training exam.

Type of IELTS exam

How to register for the IELTS exam?

• Candidates must first visit the IELTS official website.
• Select the IELTS exam test location and test types.
• After selecting the test location, select the test centre and, accordingly test date of your choice.
• Fill out the candidate registration form.
• Upload Identity Document (Valid Copy of your Passport or Emirates National ID).
• Check all the application details and verify before applying.
• Apply by clicking on Apply Now and make the payment.
• After submitting the form, candidates will receive an email containing details about the test they have booked. 

Mode of payment for the IELTS exam

Candidates can make the payment both online and offline. Also, make sure to pay early, as your payment must be received within 3 days of a booking; otherwise, the registration will be canceled.

Test Results and Score Reporting

After taking the IELTS exam, Candidates usually get thief results within 13 working days of the test date. Candidates will receive a proper TRF (Test Report Form) to showcase their overall band scores for each module, say Reading, Writing, speaking, and Listening. The TRF can be collected from the test center or sent to you by mail. IELTS test scores are valid for two years from the test date, and candidates can send the report to the universities of their choice.
